Yin yoga is practiced passively with longer held poses (3-5 minutes) mainly focused on the lower body. In the body, yin is represented by the stiffer connective tissues (ligaments, tendons and fascia) and joints.
In a time where we transition from summer to fall, we experience a shift from focusing on the external to the internal. The flowers have bloomed and we have enjoyed the sparkle of summer, now we move inward once again. The colours of Fall emerge around us, reflecting our inner beauty, it is a time of harvest and abundance.
