Bask in the magic of Gatineau Park with a hike and yoga class with new friends!

Cat Doyle adores Gatineau Park! Throughout the seasons, she embraces skiing and snowshoeing in the winter and delights in hiking, running, swimming, and volunteering in the summer. Cat's deep familiarity with the trails and Park etiquette makes her eager to share this passion with others.

Gatineau Park holds a special magic, yet many people feel unsure of how to begin their adventure or find companions to join. With Cat as your guide, you can count on a warm welcome, friendly group dynamic, a comfortable hiking pace and an engaging yoga practice. Cat's goal is to empower you with each step.

You will enjoy hiking on a beginner/intermediate trail, some plant identification, an all-levels outdoor yoga class and meditation, and being in community with other nature enthusiasts.

Fresh air and moving your body sets the tone for a grounded weekend.



Each week will be a little bit different - whether that’s because of the group, or the weather, the yoga practice or the trail. Generally, we will be hiking on Trail 1, the backbone of Gatineau Park. Please register at least 24 hours in advance to allow for planning purposes.


Itinerary*

1:00 PM - Meet at the map in the parking lot, at Visitor’s Centre, 33 chemin Scott, Chelsea, QC, start hiking

1:45 PM - All-levels Yoga class in Gatineau Park

2:30 PM - Head back to starting point

3ish PM - Arrive back at the Visitor’s Centre

Wear clothes you are comfortable in to hike and practice yoga in. Layers are key. Bring water and either a lightweight yoga mat or a towel on which to practice yoga. Cat will have essential oil bug spray and sunscreen on hand, as needed.

Pro Tip: Afterwards, plan to spend a bit of time in Chelsea - there are charming cafes and delicious ice cream to enjoy nearby!

If you are unable to attend and cannot find someone to fill your spot, you will receive a credit towards a future event. In the event of poor weather, we will reschedule to the following week.
