FAQs with Cat Doyle
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin yoga is a restorative style of yoga, accessible to all levels. It offers balance — not only to our bodies, but to our minds. As you settle into different postures, you connect to your breath, slow down, and listen. Throughout your practice, you find emotional release, physical ease, and a more embodied awareness.
Is it hot yoga?
No. While Pure Yoga is a hot yoga studio, the training is offered in a regular-temperature room.
Is attendance mandatory?
Yes, attendance of all hours — in-person and online — is required to receive your certification.
Do I need to want to teach?
No, not at all! The 40hr Yin Teacher Training is an immersive, grounding yoga experience. It’s a welcoming space for both curious, dedicated students who want to deepen their practice, and certified teachers who are looking to expand their repertoire.
Will there be homework or required reading?
Yes, you can expect some homework, like completing readings and reviewing materials. Required reading for this training is The Complete Guide to Yin Yoga by Bernie Clark, though other materials will also be provided.
“I appreciate Cat’s vast knowledge of anatomy and physiology as well learning more about essential oils and how to integrate them into a yin yoga practice. We had a wonderful weekend exploring the practice of Yin Yoga together and making our own essential oil blends to take home. I highly recommend Cat’s workshops and trainings, she always far exceeds my expectations and infuses each day with incredible knowledge, skill and pure passion for the practices. Thank you so much Cat!”
