Pandemic Reflections

As things increasingly get back to "normal' here in the Ottawa/Gatineau area, I'm feeling reflective.

My Yoga & Snowshoe Retreat in mid-March was so rejuvenating and fun that it almost felt like ... the pandemic wasn't a thing?! We all had a great time with delicious meals, yoga, snowshoeing (wow, we got a huge snowfall!) and the sauna. We discussed how we had coped during all of the lockdowns. Everyone had their own strategies and periods of ups and downs.

I am so lucky and grateful to be coming out of this pandemic with an overall sense of positivity and growth, personally and professionally. I took many yoga and non-yoga related courses, and increased my knowledge and credentials. I'm a more skilled and adept yoga teacher due to my teaching online and hybrid (simultaneously in-person and online). 🏡 We also bought a house! It's been a big learning curve for me and is ultimately allowing me to practice being grounded and stable. Our house is beautiful and more rural, so we have lots of space to spread out and host events (stay tuned!).

😿 We lost our kitty, Wilfrid, on August 4, 2021. He was found on the road right in front of our house in the middle of the day. He was such a happy-go-lucky cat and only two-and-half years old. He was my baby. My grief is immense and heartbreaking and I am forever changed.

Looking ahead, I am looking forward to continuing to teach online and enjoying and leading in-person events. And also more yoga retreats! I'm excited that I have two upcoming retreats to share with you - a long weekend in the Laurentian mountains in October and a week-long getaway in Costa Rica in November!
