Twists - Good for Digestion?
/In a yoga class, you may have heard a teacher talk about how twists are great for digestion. Let’s dive a little more into this:
There are two main types of twists: active and passive. An active twist is where you need to use your muscles (internal and external obliques, transverse abdominis) to rotate your torso. A passive twist is where you could be reclined (lying down on your back or front) or using your arms to help you in the twist.
