25 Hour Yin Yoga Training
Spring/Summer Seasonal Focus
March 21 - 23, 2025
Why I created this program.
Once upon a time I was a yoga teacher who only taught athletic, hot, active classes. I wasn’t comfortable teaching slower classes, but I believed having both capacities was essential. I saved my pennies and traveled to Vancouver to take a Yin training with Bernie Clark and it absolutely transformed my teaching. Not only did I develop comfort in teaching slower classes, but my ability to modify my faster classes improved as well. I started to step into my authentic voice as a teacher and build a following that loved these slower experiences.
Eventually I combined my passion for essential oils with these luxuriously unhurried yoga experiences and my Yin + Aroma workshops and classes were born. I was blown away by the positive response! I have taught Yin + Aroma experiences at many studios, events and retreats over the past nine years and am sharing the method I have successfully developed.
Did you know that Yin Yoga, is partially based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)?
Like all traditional healing modalities, TCM considers the environment, season, and individual constitution for recommendations for treatment. So, a plant or acupuncture point that you would use in the summer, may not be appropriate for the winter. With this in mind, the Yin + Aroma Training has been sectioned into two parts:
Fall/Winter — where you will explore warming and uplifting oils and poses related to the energetic meridians of the Lung, Large Intestine, Kidney and Urinary Bladder. You will experience Yin + Aroma practices that are unhurried and lunches that balance the energy of the autumn and winter seasons.
Spring/Summer — where you will discover grounding and calming oils and poses related to the energetic meridians of the Liver, Gallbladder, Heart, Small Intestine, Stomach and Spleen. You will experience Yin + Aroma practices that are relaxed and lunches that balance the energy of the spring and summer.

FAQ
Do I need to be a yoga teacher?
Definitely not! You will deepen your awareness and understanding of Yin and essential oils and be able to enhance your own practice. I will guide you in what you need to know.
How many CEUs?
You will receive 25 hours of continuing educations units if you are a yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance. I am registered as a Continuing Education Provider.
How much Yin experience do I need?
You would benefit from having practiced Yin regularly for at least six months.
I’m a busy person. How much out of class time is required?
There will be a few hours work on your own - reading, designing a sequence and practicing. You will be given many resources to explore Yin and essential oils more in depth, if you’d like to explore more.
What if I’m injured?
This is more common than you may realize! One of the benefits of taking a training is to learn how to modify your practice with props or variations of poses. We will be able to work with your injury.
How many breaks will we get?
We will have a 15 minute break during our online session on Friday. For Saturday and Sunday, we will have a one hour lunch break and a couple of shorter breaks through the day.
