Fall Ayurveda
/During the fall (Vata) season, keeping to a routine is especially important.
Our Air + Space elements become more pronounced and can get unbalanced (think dry skin, feeling scattered, interrupted sleep). Our mind and body do well with routine, especially during this time. Consider waking up at the same time each day and creating a morning routine.
From an Ayurvedic perspective, this would be: wake up before the sun, scrape your tongue and oil pull, drink warm water and oil self-massage. And of course, meditation and yoga!
Bonus: Add a vata-calming essential oil to your massage like lavender or vetiver.
