Nourish to Flourish explores holistic wellness through movement and nutrition in an experiential day-long program. This yoga and nutrition intensive is designed to nourish your body, mind and spirit; go beyond yoga and nutritional fundamentals, and inspire you to flourish every day.
The day will include nutrition talks with Brittany Gordon, a healthy, nourishing lunch and two yoga practices with Cat Doyle.
The nutrition workshops will explore current issues in our modern diet and how you can use nutrition to move towards more optimal health. Discussions are an integral part of these workshops - please come with questions! Brittany uses her expertise as a nutritionist and up-to-date research to teach you how to get the most out of your food.
The yoga practices will help you to focus and illustrate concepts discussed through the day. To start the day, Cat will lead you through a more active flow practice to prepare your body and mind to learn and digest information. The final practice of the day will be a more passive yin practice to allow your mind to synthesize and your body to relax.
Topics we will explore during our 6 hour intensive:
Building a strong yoga practice
Popular diets and the benefits/pitfalls of each
Pathways of detoxification through diet and movement.
How nutrition and yoga can help to bolster your immune system.
The parasympathetic nervous system and how to spend more time in it.
This workshop includes lunch which will illustrate the nutrition topics discussed (and of course be delicious!)
Meal and snacks will be vegetarian and have gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free and egg-free options.
