Nourish. Grow. Inspire.
Nourish to Flourish explores holistic wellness through movement and nutrition in an experiential day-long program. This yoga and nutrition intensive is designed to nourish your body, mind and spirit; go beyond yoga and nutritional fundamentals, and inspire you to flourish every day.
The day will include nutrition talks with Brittany Gordon, a healthy, nourishing lunch and two yoga practices with Cat Doyle.
The nutrition workshops will explore current issues in our modern diet and how you can use nutrition to move towards more optimal health. Discussions are an integral part of these workshops - please come with questions! Brittany uses her expertise as a nutritionist and up-to-date research to teach you how to get the most out of your food.
The yoga practices will help you to focus and illustrate concepts discussed through the day. To start the day, Cat will lead you through a more active flow practice to prepare your body and mind to learn and digest information. The final practice of the day will be a more passive yin practice to allow your mind to synthesize and your body to relax.
Topics we will explore during our 6 hour intensive:
How to build a strong yoga practice
Popular diets and their benefits/pitfalls
Pathways of detoxification through diet and movement
How nutrition and yoga can help to boost your immune system
The parasympathetic nervous system and how to spend more time in it
This workshop includes lunch which will illustrate the nutrition topics discussed (and of course be delicious!)
Meal and snacks will be vegetarian/vegan and have gluten-free and nut-free options.

Connect. Breathe. Open.
Experience a fusion of yin yoga + sound + scent to bring you into greater connection with your body and breath.
When the days are short and cold, it gives us an opportunity to turn inwards and connect on a deeper level. In this practice, live gong and crystal bowl sounds will allow you to release tension and soothe your nervous system. The vibrational nature of the gong is a re-aligning and dynamic experience.
Yin yoga is practiced passively with longer held poses (3-5 minutes) mainly focused on the lower body. In the body, yin is represented by the stiffer connective tissues (ligaments, tendons and fascia) and joints. Energetically, yin is stable, solid and balancing.
Essential oils work on many levels to shift your mood, physiological processes and your health. Seasonally fitting oils will be used aromatically and topically to support your physical and mental health.
Cat will expertly guide you through an all-levels yin practice and educate you about essential oils and Devinder will work her magic on the vibrational instruments.
This practice will allow you to open your body and mind and you will leave feeling more balanced and at ease into your life.
